1. Scope of the Journal · 期刊宗旨與範圍

Universitas: Monthly Review of Philosophy and Culture publishes original and academically rigorous research in philosophy, cultural studies, intellectual history, ethics, religion, aesthetics, literature, language, social thought, and related fields of the humanities.

《哲學與文化月刊》刊登哲學、文化研究、思想史、倫理學、宗教研究、美學、文學、語言、社會思想及其他相關人文學科領域中具有原創性與學術嚴謹性的研究成果。

The journal particularly welcomes comparative, interdisciplinary, and intercultural studies that contribute to philosophical dialogue and deepen scholarly understanding of intellectual and cultural traditions.

本刊特別歡迎具有比較性、跨學科及跨文化視野的研究，並重視能夠促進哲學對話、深化不同思想與文化傳統之理解的學術成果。

Submissions should formulate a clear research question, engage critically with relevant literature, apply an appropriate method, and make an identifiable contribution to existing scholarship.

投稿論文應提出明確的研究問題，批判性地回應相關研究文獻，採用適切的研究方法，並對現有學術研究作出可辨識的原創貢獻。

2. Languages of Submission · 投稿語言

The journal accepts manuscripts written in Chinese or English. Regardless of the principal language of the manuscript, every submission must include the article title, abstract, and keywords in English.

本刊接受以中文或英文撰寫之稿件。無論論文正文使用何種語言，所有投稿均須提供英文論文標題、英文摘要及英文關鍵詞。

A manuscript written in Chinese must include an accurate English title, a complete English abstract, and appropriate English keywords. These English components must faithfully represent the objectives, methods, arguments, findings, and conclusions of the article.

中文稿件必須附上準確的英文標題、完整的英文摘要及適當的英文關鍵詞。英文內容應忠實反映論文之研究目的、方法、主要論證、研究發現與結論。

Manuscripts submitted in English should be written in clear and grammatically correct academic English. Authors who are not proficient in academic English are encouraged to obtain professional language editing before submission.

英文稿件應使用清晰、準確且符合學術規範之英文撰寫。作者如對學術英文寫作尚不熟練，建議於投稿前委請具相關能力之學者或專業語言編輯進行校訂。

Important: Articles may be submitted in Chinese or English, but the English title, English abstract, and English keywords are mandatory for every manuscript.
重要說明：論文可使用中文或英文撰寫，但所有稿件均必須附有英文標題、英文摘要及英文關鍵詞。

3. Types of Contributions · 稿件類型

The journal may consider the following categories of scholarly contributions:

• Original Research Articles · 原創研究論文：
  Substantial studies presenting original arguments, interpretations, findings, or theoretical contributions. 提出原創論證、詮釋、研究發現或理論貢獻之完整學術研究。

  Critical analyses of major theories, scholarly debates, research developments, or bodies of literature. 針對重要理論、學術爭議、研究發展或特定文獻群進行批判性分析。

  Scholarly translations or critical editions accompanied by an introduction, commentary, and appropriate documentation. 附有學術導論、註釋及必要文獻說明之翻譯或校訂文本。

4. Originality and Exclusive Submission · 原創性與專屬投稿

Manuscripts must be original, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration by another journal, publisher, conference proceeding, or online publication at the time of submission.

投稿稿件必須為原創成果，且不得曾以相同或實質相同之形式公開發表。投稿期間，稿件不得同時接受其他期刊、出版社、會議論文集或網路出版平台之審查。

If an earlier version appeared as a thesis chapter, working paper, institutional report, preprint, or conference presentation, the author must disclose this information and explain the substantial differences between the earlier and submitted versions.

如稿件之早期版本曾以學位論文章節、工作論文、機構報告、預印本或會議發表等形式出現，作者應主動向編輯部說明，並清楚交代投稿版本與早期版本之實質差異。

5. Manuscript Preparation · 稿件準備

Manuscripts should be submitted in an editable Microsoft Word format. Authors should use a standard, readable font and maintain consistent formatting throughout the document.

稿件應以可編輯之 Microsoft Word 格式提交，並使用標準、清晰且易於閱讀之字型。全文之標題、段落、引文、註腳及參考文獻格式應保持一致。

A complete submission should normally contain the following elements:

完整稿件通常應包括以下內容：

6. Article Title · 論文標題

The title should be clear, concise, accurate, and directly related to the central research problem. Authors should avoid undefined abbreviations, unnecessary words, and claims broader than the actual scope of the study.

論文標題應清楚、簡潔、準確，並與核心研究問題直接相關。標題應避免使用未經說明之縮寫、不必要之詞語，或超出實際研究範圍之廣泛主張。

Every submission must include an English title. For Chinese-language manuscripts, the English title should be an accurate and academically appropriate rendering of the Chinese title.

所有投稿均須附上英文標題。中文稿件之英文標題應準確傳達中文原題之內容，並符合國際學術表達規範。

7. Abstract · 摘要

The abstract should provide a concise and self-contained account of the research problem, objectives, methodology or theoretical framework, principal argument, major findings, and scholarly significance.

摘要應以簡潔且可獨立理解之方式說明研究問題、研究目的、研究方法或理論架構、主要論證、重要研究發現及其學術意義。

References, footnotes, tables, figures, extensive quotations, and unexplained abbreviations should not normally appear in the abstract.

摘要中原則上不應出現參考文獻、註腳、表格、圖片、大段引文或未經解釋之縮寫。

An English abstract is compulsory for every submission, including manuscripts whose main text is written in Chinese.

所有投稿均須提供英文摘要，包括正文以中文撰寫之稿件。

8. Keywords · 關鍵詞

Keywords should identify the principal concepts, theories, persons, texts, traditions, periods, regions, or research methods discussed in the article.

關鍵詞應準確呈現論文所討論之主要概念、理論、人物、文本、思想傳統、歷史時期、地理區域或研究方法。

English keywords are mandatory for every submission. Authors should use established scholarly terminology and avoid merely repeating all words appearing in the article title.

所有稿件均須提供英文關鍵詞。作者應盡可能使用國際學術界通行之術語，並避免僅將論文標題中的詞語重複列為關鍵詞。

9. Structure of the Article · 論文結構

The manuscript should follow a coherent structure appropriate to its topic and methodology. A research article should normally include an introduction, research problem, literature review, theoretical or methodological framework, analysis, discussion, and conclusion.

論文應依其主題與研究方法建立連貫且合理之結構。研究論文通常應包括導論、研究問題、文獻回顧、理論或方法架構、分析、討論及結論。

Headings and subheadings should be concise and hierarchically consistent. Excessive subdivision should be avoided.

各級標題應簡潔明確，並維持一致之層級關係。作者應避免將正文劃分為過多細小章節。

The conclusion should explain the article’s principal contribution, implications, limitations, and possible directions for further research rather than merely repeating earlier passages.

結論不應僅重複前文，而應說明研究之主要貢獻、理論或實務意涵、研究限制，以及未來可能之研究方向。

10. Author Information · 作者資料

Authors must provide their full names, departments, institutional affiliations, cities, countries, email addresses, and ORCID identifiers where available.

作者應提供完整姓名、系所、所屬機構、城市、國家、電子郵件地址，以及可使用之 ORCID 識別碼。

One author must be identified as the corresponding author. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial office and for confirming that all co-authors approve the submitted and final versions.

稿件應指定一位通訊作者。通訊作者負責與編輯部聯繫，並確認所有共同作者均已審閱及同意投稿版本與最終出版版本。

11. Authorship and Contributions · 作者資格與貢獻

Authorship should be limited to individuals who made a substantial scholarly contribution to the conception, design, research, analysis, interpretation, or writing of the manuscript.

作者資格僅限於對研究構想、設計、資料蒐集、分析、詮釋或論文撰寫作出實質學術貢獻之人士。

Individuals who provided administrative assistance, language editing, technical support, or general supervision but do not satisfy authorship criteria should be acknowledged separately.

僅提供行政協助、語言編輯、技術支援或一般性指導，而未符合作者資格者，應於致謝中另行說明。

Guest, honorary, and ghost authorship, as well as the unjustified omission of qualified contributors, are contrary to the journal’s publication ethics.
掛名作者、榮譽作者、幽靈作者及不當排除具實質貢獻者，均違反本刊出版倫理。

12. Citations and References · 引文與參考文獻

All sources must be cited accurately and consistently. Every source cited in the text or notes must appear in the reference list, and every item in the reference list must be cited in the manuscript.

所有資料來源均須準確且一致地加以引用。正文或註腳中引用之每項文獻均應列入參考文獻表，而參考文獻表中所列之資料亦應於正文中實際引用。

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of author names, publication titles, publication years, volume and issue numbers, page ranges, publishers, URLs, and DOI identifiers.

作者須自行確認作者姓名、出版品名稱、出版年份、卷期、頁碼、出版社、網址及 DOI 識別碼等書目資料之準確性。

Where a DOI is available, it should be presented in its standard URL form. References in non-Latin scripts should be handled consistently and, where necessary, accompanied by romanization and an English translation of the title.

如文獻具有 DOI，應以標準網址形式列出。非拉丁字母書寫之參考文獻應採一致格式，必要時並附羅馬字轉寫及英文標題翻譯。

13. Quotations and Translations · 引文與翻譯

All quotations must be reproduced accurately and accompanied by an appropriate citation, including page, section, paragraph, or passage information where available.

所有引文均須準確轉錄，並附上適當之文獻來源及頁碼、章節、段落或原典位置等資訊。

When authors provide their own translation, this should be clearly indicated. When a published translation is used, the translator and bibliographic details must be acknowledged.

如譯文由作者自行翻譯，應明確標示。若使用已出版之譯本，則須註明譯者及完整出版資料。

14. Romanization and Non-Latin Scripts · 羅馬字轉寫與非拉丁文字

Chinese names, titles, and terms should be romanized using a recognized and consistently applied system. Established historical forms may be retained where academically necessary.

中文姓名、書名及術語應採用公認且前後一致之羅馬字轉寫系統。如基於學術或歷史理由有保留既有拼寫形式之必要，作者應作出適當說明。

Arabic, Persian, Greek, Sanskrit, Japanese, Korean, and other non-Latin scripts may be retained where essential to the argument but should be accompanied by transliteration or translation when necessary.

阿拉伯文、波斯文、希臘文、梵文、日文、韓文及其他非拉丁文字，如對論證具有必要性，可保留原文；但為協助讀者理解，必要時應附轉寫或翻譯。

15. Notes · 註釋

Notes should be used only for necessary explanations, qualifications, or supplementary information that would interrupt the flow of the main argument.

註釋應僅用於提供必要之解釋、限定或補充資訊，以避免中斷正文論證之連貫性。

Notes should remain concise and should not be used as a substitute for a fully developed argument or a complete reference list.
註釋應保持簡潔，不得用以取代正文中應充分展開之論證或完整之參考文獻表。

16. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations · 表格、圖片與插圖

Tables and figures should be included only when they contribute directly to the argument or presentation of evidence. Each item must be numbered consecutively, cited in the text, and supplied with a clear title or caption.

表格與圖片僅應於其直接有助於論證或證據呈現時使用。所有表格與圖片均須依序編號、於正文中加以引用，並附上清楚之標題或說明文字。

Authors are responsible for securing permission to reproduce copyrighted images, tables, maps, diagrams, archival materials, and other protected content.

作者有責任取得重製受著作權保護之圖片、表格、地圖、圖表、檔案資料及其他內容所需之書面授權。

17. Research Ethics · 研究倫理

Research involving human participants, interviews, personal information, confidential archives, or culturally sensitive materials must comply with applicable ethical and legal standards.

涉及研究參與者、訪談、個人資料、機密檔案或文化敏感材料之研究，必須符合相關倫理及法律規範。

Where institutional ethical approval was required, authors should identify the approving body and provide the relevant approval information.

如研究依法或依機構規定須經倫理審查，作者應說明核准機構之名稱及相關審查或核准資料。

18. Plagiarism and Research Misconduct · 抄襲與研究不當行為

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, fabricated or falsified evidence, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, inappropriate authorship, or any other form of research misconduct.

本刊不容許抄襲、捏造或竄改證據、重複發表、操縱引文、不當列名作者或其他形式之研究不當行為。

Quotations must be clearly identified, and ideas, arguments, translations, data, images, and distinctive expressions obtained from other sources must be properly acknowledged.

直接引文必須清楚標示。取自其他來源之思想、論證、翻譯、資料、圖像及具有辨識性之表述，均須給予適當引註。

Submissions may be examined using similarity-detection software. Similarity reports will be evaluated by the editors according to the nature, extent, and context of the detected overlap.

投稿稿件可能使用文字相似度檢測系統進行審查。編輯將依據重疊內容之性質、程度及具體語境作出學術判斷。

19. Use of Artificial Intelligence · 人工智慧工具之使用

Artificial intelligence systems cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the originality, accuracy, integrity, or ethical compliance of scholarly work.

人工智慧系統不得列為作者，因其無法對學術成果之原創性、準確性、完整性及倫理責任負責。

Authors remain fully responsible for all material submitted under their names, including content edited, translated, summarized, or otherwise assisted by artificial intelligence tools.

作者對以其名義提交之全部內容負完全責任，包括經人工智慧工具協助編輯、翻譯、摘要或處理之內容。

Any substantial use of generative artificial intelligence should be disclosed transparently. Authors must independently verify facts, quotations, translations, references, and bibliographic information.

如實質使用生成式人工智慧，作者應作出透明揭露。所有事實、引文、譯文、參考資料及書目資訊均須由作者獨立核實。

20. Conflicts of Interest · 利益衝突

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, intellectual, or personal relationship that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research or its presentation.

作者須揭露任何可能被合理認為影響研究過程、研究判斷或成果呈現之財務、機構、專業、學術或個人關係。

Where no relevant conflict exists, the manuscript should include a statement confirming that the authors have no conflict of interest to declare.
如無相關利益衝突，稿件中應明確聲明作者無任何須揭露之利益衝突。

21. Funding and Acknowledgements · 研究經費與致謝

All financial support related to the research and preparation of the manuscript must be disclosed. The funding statement should identify the funding organization and grant number where applicable.

與研究及稿件準備相關之所有經費支持均須揭露。經費聲明應列明資助機構名稱及適用之計畫或補助編號。

Individuals and institutions that contributed to the work but do not qualify for authorship may be identified in the acknowledgements with their permission.
對研究有所協助但未符合作者資格之個人或機構，可在取得其同意後列入致謝。

22. Copyright and Permissions · 著作權與授權

Authors must ensure that their submissions do not infringe the copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other legal rights of third parties.

作者必須確保投稿內容不侵犯第三方之著作權、隱私權、保密義務或其他合法權利。

Permission must be obtained before reproducing copyrighted figures, photographs, tables, archival documents, extensive quotations, or translations.

重製受著作權保護之圖片、照片、表格、檔案文件、大段引文或翻譯內容前，作者必須取得必要之授權。

23. Peer-Review Process · 同行評審程序

Every submission is initially screened by the editorial office to determine whether it falls within the journal’s scope and satisfies the journal’s basic academic, ethical, linguistic, and technical requirements.

所有投稿首先由編輯部進行初步審查，以確認稿件是否符合本刊範圍及基本學術、倫理、語言與技術要求。

Manuscripts that pass editorial screening are normally submitted to independent academic review. Reviewers assess originality, scholarly significance, methodological quality, use of sources, clarity of argument, and relevance to the journal.

通過初審之稿件通常將送交獨立學者進行同行評審。審查內容包括原創性、學術重要性、研究方法、資料運用、論證清晰度及與本刊範圍之相關性。

Editorial decisions may include acceptance, acceptance subject to revision, revision and resubmission, or rejection. The final publication decision rests with the editors.
編輯決定可能包括接受、修改後接受、修改後重新送審或退稿。最終出版決定由編輯部作出。

24. Revised Manuscripts · 修訂稿件

Authors invited to revise a manuscript should respond carefully to every editorial and reviewer comment. A revised manuscript should normally be accompanied by a point-by-point response.

獲邀修改稿件之作者應逐項回應編輯及審查人之意見。修訂稿通常應附上逐點回覆文件，說明各項建議之處理方式。

If a recommendation is not adopted, the author should provide a clear scholarly explanation. Revised manuscripts must be returned within the period specified by the editorial office.
如作者未採納某項建議，應提供清楚且具學術依據之說明。修訂稿須於編輯部指定期限內提交。

25. Accepted Manuscripts and Proofs · 錄用稿件與校樣

Accepted manuscripts may undergo copyediting, language correction, reference checking, and formatting in accordance with the journal’s publication style.

錄用稿件將依本刊出版格式進行文字編輯、語言修訂、參考文獻核對及版面整理。

Proofs are intended for the correction of typographical, formatting, and factual errors. Substantial rewriting or major additions are not normally permitted at the proof stage.

校樣主要用於修正排字、格式及事實性錯誤。於校樣階段原則上不得進行大幅改寫或增加大量新內容。

26. Corrections and Retractions · 更正與撤稿

Authors must inform the editorial office promptly if they discover a significant error in a submitted or published article.

作者如發現已投稿或已出版之論文存在重大錯誤，應立即通知編輯部。

Depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue, the journal may publish a correction, clarification, expression of concern, or retraction.

本刊將依問題之性質及嚴重程度，考慮發布更正、說明、關切聲明或撤稿通知。

28. Editorial Authority · 編輯權限

Submission of a manuscript indicates that all authors have read and accepted these guidelines. The editors reserve the right to request additional information, return incomplete submissions, require corrections, and take appropriate measures to protect the journal’s academic standards and publication integrity.

提交稿件即表示全體作者已閱讀並接受本指南。為維護本刊之學術標準及出版誠信，編輯部保留要求補充資料、退回不完整稿件、要求修正及採取適當措施之權利。

Compliance with these guidelines does not guarantee publication. Acceptance depends on originality, scholarly quality, relevance, peer-review reports, successful revision, and the final decision of the editorial team.

符合本指南並不代表稿件必然獲得刊登。稿件是否錄用，將取決於其原創性、學術品質、主題相關性、同行評審意見、修訂完成情形及編輯部之最終決定。
